The colourful houses composing our guesthouse in Veines are the only ones in the area to have maintained their original structure from the end of the XIX century and have protected status. The history of Veines
A UNIQUE PLACE IN FINNMARK
The buildings of the guesthouse are part of the old hamlet of Veines. The buildings are on the western edge of the area that was not burnt down by the Germans when they withdrew from Finnmark at the end of the Second World War.
The oldest buildings are from the end of the 1800s. The buildings have a protection status and are part of the old fishing community.
